Project Brief
The young couple wanted a home that feels intimate, relaxed and distinctly their own — centred around a pool, with generous open spaces, natural light and plenty of ventilation.
Our Ideas
We imagined the ground floor as one continuous living experience. A long swimming pool hugs the side of the house, while fully operable glass doors allow the interiors to open completely towards it. The living space extends all the way to the front, transforming the car porch into a casual lounge deck.
A dramatic double-volume space gives the first storey a wonderful sense of openness, while a mezzanine creates a cosy study overlooking the living areas below.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are designed with greater privacy in mind. Internal-facing windows and carefully controlled openings reduce exposure to the western sun and traffic along the main road, keeping the rooms cooler and more peaceful.
The result is a very personal home — open and airy when the family comes together, yet warm, private and intimate for everyday living.
