Our history
SG Consultants was established by founding shareholders of the Swan & Maclaren Group.
Swan & Maclaren Group is the oldest Built Environment established firm in Singapore.
The firm expanded across Southeast Asia, collaborating on urban design, construction, and technology projects in multiple cities.
Swan & Maclaren restructured into autonomous business studios, each focused on key markets and personalised client service. This led to the introduction of Design & Build services.
SM Consultants, SM Interiors, and SM Vietnam Hanoi were rebranded as SG Consultants, a multidisciplinary built-environment, design & build, and management consultancy.
The new identity reflects our broader capabilities, stronger local commitment, and future-ready direction — expanding into technology-driven design, development and project management, and Design & Build, with SGC Architects as the core design-led practice.
