Reconstruction 2sty to 4 storey
This is a project that I am particularly excited about because it shows how thoughtful design can unlock the hidden potential of an existing home.
When we first met the owner, he was planning to build a conventional two-storey house without realising how much more the site could offer. Instead of demolishing everything, we retained the existing two-storey structure and reimagined the entire house around it.
We introduced a higher mezzanine, added another level for bedrooms and entertainment, and transformed the top floor into a private lounge and gym. The result is a complete transformation—a distinctive home that will become a landmark in the neighbourhood.
What makes the project even more meaningful is that we doubled the floor area for a construction cost of only $790,000, showing that good design does not necessarily have to cost more.
